Sales Process
Once you have chosen which product you wish to order you should proceed to the checkout. Your account will be debited with the relevant amount when you click on the "Checkout" button.
When we receive your order we will send you an order confirmation which will include an order number. We will check your order and that your payment has been received. Assuming that there are no problems with the order, once your goods are ready for dispatch Inveralmond will send you a dispatch note which confirms that your order has been accepted and advises when your goods are to be sent. Details of our expected delivery times and charges are set out in our Delivery sections.
If, for any reason, there is a problem with your order, we will contact you by e-mail at the address you have provided. We will offer you the option to either revise your order or to cancel it and have your card refunded. If we do not receive a response to our e-mail notifying you of a problem within 2 working days we will assume that you do not wish to proceed with your order and will refund your account.
Please note, for the sake of clarity, that the contract between us is made when the despatch note is sent to you from our or our service partners' system.

Delivery Charges
Inveralmond uses a dedicated delivery service for alcoholic products. Each consignment is handled separately to ensure it arrives in pristine condition. If you notice a problem with the package upon delivery, please make sure the courier is aware of this.
Our collection and delivery service make deliveries between 08.30 and 17.30 Monday to Friday.
A person over 18 needs to sign for the delivery, so if you're not going to be in between 08:30 and 17:30, you can simply add detailed instructions on where the parcel/s can be safely left, such as "leave with neighbour at No. 8" and our delivery service shall leave it with them. Our delivery service may ask for proof of age of the person signing for the parcel.
The delivery charges are based on a consignment system. One consignment can contain up to 20kgs.
Inveralmond strives to provide the best possible value for premium hand crafted products. Delivery charges are set by our chosen service provider. We do not make a profit on such charges. Indeed, the delivery cost is subsidised by us. The 'checkout' process will advise you of the amount of delivery charges payable on your order.

Service Restrictions
Age Limit
In the UK, it is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 years to buy alcoholic beverages. We will not sell or deliver alcohol to anyone who is, or seems to be, under the age of 18. . All customers must confirm that they are at least 18 years old and agree to supply proof of age if we or our carriers ask for it. If you are buying an alcoholic gift, the recipient must also be at least 18 years old.
Availability of service
This service is available to customers in the United Kingdom only. For the purposes of these terms and conditions, the United Kingdom is defined as England, Scotland, Wales, the Isle of Man and Northern Ireland. Other 'Crown dependencies', for example The Channel Islands, are excluded from this definition.
Cancellations
Because Inveralmond's products are perishable you do not have the right to cancel the order once goods have been dispatched to you. If you do decide that you no longer want the goods you must return them, unopened and undamaged, to Inveralmond within 7 days of delivery of your order. You must pay the cost of making such a return. We will refund the cost of returned goods once we have checked that they are unopened and undamaged. We cannot refund the original delivery charge. This does not affect your rights under law.

Tax Charges
Our prices are shown in pounds sterling and include Value Added Tax (currently 17.5%). Delivery charges are extra. |
Credit Card Security
All of our transactions take place in a secure environment and we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information that you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access.
The web site may register individuals with their e-mail address and a password - both of which you provide. You are entirely responsible if you do not maintain the confidentiality of your ID and password. You are entirely responsible for all activities that occur under your user ID and password. If there has been any unauthorised use of your user ID or any breach of security known to you, you must inform us immediately.
When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Nothing in these terms and conditions should be read as seeking to limit your rights under law. However to the fullest extent permitted at law, Inveralmond is providing this web site and its contents on an "as is" basis. We do not represent or warrant that the information accessible via this web site is accurate, complete or current.
Governing Law
Your use of this web site and any purchase by you via this web site will be governed by the Laws of Scotland. If any dispute arises between us we agree that such dispute should fall under the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
Termination
We reserve the right to reject any current or future order from you if we discover that you are breaking any of our terms and conditions.
